Juventus and Atalanta reach €55m deal for Koopmeiners

Juventus e Atalanta raggiungono l’accordo da €55m per Koopmeiners
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Teun Koopmeiners’ transfer to Turin has already been agreed upon both Juventus and Atalanta; however, La Dea must first sign a replacement before approving the transfer.
Koopmeiners, a Dutch midfielder, is close to finalising a €55 million contract to join Juventus.
The Atalanta midfielder won’t be involved in tonight’s UEFA Super Cup clash between La Dea and Real Madrid and is pushing to join the Old Lady.
“It’s disappointing for Koopmeiners, who was denied the opportunity to play in this game,” Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday.
“He is the real victim of this situation. I am sad that I was unable to convince him to keep out of certain transfer market issues. He remains a very nice guy, we are very fond of him and he helped us to get here.”
Juventus and Atalanta have Koopmeiners agreement
According to the latest report of La Gazzetta dello Sport, it’s just a matter of time before the 26-year-old fulfils his dream.
The pink paper, in fact, claims that Juventus and Atalanta have already reached an agreement over a €55m transfer, but the Nerazzurri are currently working to sign a replacement before sending their star midfield to Turin.
Gasperini’s side are close to signing Marco Brescianini from Frosinone, but Celtic’s talent Matt O’Riley has been identified as the ideal replacement for Koop.
Once and if the Danish midfielder moves to Bergamo, Koopmeiners will be allowed to join Juventus.
