Nottingham Forest have signed their seventh player just hours after Jota Silva

Nottingham Forest have been one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League this summer when it comes to the transfer market.
Nuno Espirito Santo was handed five new players for the recent trip to Spain where Forest played three friendly games.
However, since returning to the United Kingdom, Evangelos Marinakis has been a very busy owner having secured another two signings.
On Thursday, Forest secured the signing of Jota Silva from Vitoria de Guimaraes in what was the club’s sixth signing of the summer.
And it has seemingly just taken them a matter of hours until landing player number seven of the window.
Nottingham Forest secure signing number seven
Forest struggled last season in front of goal with only three other sides providing a lower return than their 49 goals scored.
But in Silva, it is apparent Forest have been left excited that they are adding a versatile forward who provided 11 goals and six assists in the Portuguese top flight last season.
“We can see how excited Jota is to continue his career journey beyond Portugal where he has enjoyed such a strong period in the Primeira Liga with Vitoria Guimaraes, which resulted in him earning his debut for the Portuguese National Team back in March,” Forest’s CFO Ross Wilson told the club website.
Nottingham Forest now have some serious attacking options
Although Forest struggled, on the whole, to find the back of the net last season, Nuno still entered the summer with real quality in attack.
But what Forest have done this summer is add further depth to their squad which can only be a positive.
If injuries arise, then Nuno is going to have players who will hopefully be able to slot in like-for-like for players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga.
But on top of that, this should provide those players with even more motivation to up their game with quality additions looking to take their spots in the starting XI.
