Juventus star on radar for £50m move to premier league

Il nazionale olandese Teun Koopmeiners era stato fortemente accostato a un trasferimento in Premier League, ma ha optato per la Juventus in estate.

In un’intervista con l’emittente italiana Tutto Sport, Koopmeiners ha rivelato che prima di completare il trasferimento alla Juve, aveva chiesto consiglio a De Ligt, dato che in precedenza aveva giocato per i giganti della Serie A.

“Non ero mai stato qui ma conoscevo la storia del club e avevo giocato contro di loro”, ha detto Koopmeiners. “Diciamo che quando sono arrivato ho visto in prima persona che tutto quello che sapevo e che mi aveva detto De Ligt era vero: dai servizi alle strutture, alla gentilezza delle persone.

“Davvero fantastico. Qui alla Juve è tutto bellissimo: il primo giorno mi è sembrato di vivere un sogno”.

Koopmeiners ha continuato sottolineando che è sempre stato un suo sogno giocare per la Juventus, nonostante in precedenza avesse dichiarato che gli sarebbe piaciuto giocare per un club di Premier League.

“Ripeto, ho lavorato per essere qui fin da piccolo: avevo detto tante volte alla mia ragazza in passato che il mio obiettivo sarebbe stato diventare un giocatore della Juventus e ci sono riuscito.

“Tra l’altro, vivendo in Italia, è cresciuta anche la mia ammirazione per la Juventus, quindi ora sono molto felice qui”.

Matthijs de Ligt si adatta al gioco inglese

Sebbene De Ligt stia ancora adattando il suo gioco agli standard della Premier League, la difesa dello United è migliorata di dieci volte dal suo arrivo.

Ci vorrà del tempo perché si familiarizzi con i suoi nuovi compagni di squadra e tutti devono imparare un nuovo sistema sotto la guida dell’allenatore Ruben Amorim.
