Orlando man faces up to 40 years in jail for letting off flares that burnt a child

Un uomo di Orlando rischia fino a 40 anni di carcere per aver lasciato dei razzi che hanno bruciato un bambino

22 ottobre – Un uomo che ha acceso due razzi e li ha lanciati tra la folla allo stadio Inter&Co di Orlando, Florida, è stato accusato di incendio doloso che ha causato lesioni personali.

Giovanni Isai Ramirez Reyes (37 anni, residente a Orlando) ha acceso i razzi durante una partita del 24 febbraio tra Orlando e CF Montreal e, se condannato, rischia una pena minima obbligatoria di sette anni, fino a 40 anni di carcere federale.

L’atto di accusa è stato emesso dall’ufficio del procuratore degli Stati Uniti, Middle District of Florida, che ha affermato in una dichiarazione: “I razzi hanno prodotto un incendio più grande che ha danneggiato lo stadio e causato ustioni a un bambino che assisteva alla partita”.

Ramirez Reyes, arrestato il 15 ottobre, si è dichiarato non colpevole delle accuse, ha un’udienza programmata per il 12 novembre presso l’Orlando Federal Courthouse, con una data del processo fissata per il 2 dicembre.

“Da febbraio, il nostro Club ha lavorato diligentemente con le forze dell’ordine locali e federali per identificare e ritenere responsabili gli individui per gravi violazioni delle politiche dell’Inter&Co Stadium”, ha affermato una dichiarazione del club del 15 ottobre.

“Queste violazioni includevano il possesso illegale e l’uso di un razzo di segnalazione nella sede, che alla fine hanno causato danni allo stadio e ferite a un bambino che si trovava nella nostra Supporters Section.

“Possiamo confermare che oggi, attraverso il lavoro del team di sicurezza del Club e delle agenzie locali e federali, è stato effettuato un arresto. Il Club può anche confermare che altri individui, la cui violazione dei protocolli dello stadio ha consentito questo reato, hanno ricevuto anche il divieto di accesso alla sede.

“Continuiamo a sottolineare che la sicurezza dei nostri tifosi, dei nostri giocatori o del nostro staff sarà sempre la nostra priorità numero uno. Il nostro Club non tollererà mai azioni che mettano a repentaglio o influiscano su tale garanzia”.
