West Ham United’s position on the potential summer sale of Mohammed Kudus has been clarified following a clause update.

West Ham United will not consider selling Mohammed Kudus next summer unless his £85 million release clause is activated, according to Sami Mokbel.
In his Daily Mail column on November 14, Mokbel reported that the club anticipates receiving offers for the forward at the end of the season, with Arsenal and Liverpool closely watching his situation.
However, the release clause, which will become active again this summer, may deter potential buyers as clubs look to maintain financial stability.
West Ham’s Position on Mohammed Kudus Transfer
This is not the first time West Ham has taken a firm stance on Kudus’s potential sale; they previously declined offers for him last summer after his release clause lapsed on July 1, as noted by Sean Whetstone. The East London club seems determined to hold on to Kudus unless Arsenal or Liverpool decide to activate the release clause.
West Ham is justified in this approach, considering Kudus is one of their standout players. Additionally, the Ghanaian international is under contract with the club until the end of the 2027-28 season, giving them no immediate pressure to sell.
Arsenal and Liverpool have shown a willingness to invest heavily in their target players in the past, so they would need to make a significant financial commitment to secure the 24-year-old’s services.
