Gianluca Rocchi spiega se il VAR ha fatto bene a non intervenire per il tiro di Douglas Luiz su Patric durante Juventus-Lazio, di cui è stato diffuso l’audio della discussione.

L’incidente ha causato molte polemiche e fatto infuriare la Lazio, che ha ritenuto che il VAR avrebbe dovuto intervenire per mandare l’arbitro al monitor per condotta violenta durante la sconfitta per 1-0.

Hanno chiesto soprattutto di cosa avesse parlato il VAR e se avessero visto il filmato in questione, quindi è stato particolarmente importante ascoltare la riproduzione di quell’audio nel programma Open VAR di DAZN.

In questo filmato si è sentito che l’arbitro ha detto che c’era stato “un contatto fortuito” tra i giocatori nell’area di rigore, a quel punto l’incidente è stato riprodotto nella cabina del VAR.

“Non è così fortuito”, ha detto il VAR.

Tuttavia, dopo averlo rivisto, hanno assicurato all’arbitro che “non c’era molto da dire” sulla spinta di Douglas Luiz su Patric.

Rocchi valuta la decisione del VAR su Douglas Luiz

Il rappresentante dell’Associazione Arbitri Italiana (AIA) Gianluca Rocchi è stato ospite del programma e ha chiesto se quella fosse la decisione corretta in queste circostanze.

“Certamente non è fortuito e certamente non ci piace questo tipo di gesto”, ha spiegato Rocchi su DAZN.

“Se il giocatore fosse stato espulso in campo, non ci saremmo lamentati. Allo stesso modo, c’è stata una situazione con la partita della Juventus con due giocatori che si sono affrontati e abbiamo deciso di nuovo di attenerci alla decisione presa in campo.

“Capisco che il VAR non sia intervenuto, ma esorterei anche i club e i giocatori a essere chiari sul fatto che questa non è una cosa da incoraggiare. È stata più una spinta che un pugno, ma non ci piace comunque.

“Questo gesto era certamente da condannare e non mi sarei scandalizzato se a Douglas Luiz fosse stato dato un cartellino rosso. Tuttavia, la valutazione che hanno fatto è stata che ci voleva qualcosa in più per essere un errore chiaro e ovvio.”
