Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jnr open to $1B Saudi Pro league offer

El delantero del Real Madrid y de la selección brasileña, Vinicius Jr., está receptivo a una oferta de Arabia Saudita por valor de más de mil millones de euros (1.100 millones de dólares), dijeron a Reuters el lunes personas cercanas al jugador.

Los funcionarios del Fondo de Inversión Pública Saudí (PIF) contactaron a Vinicius, de 24 años, para ver si estaría interesado en unirse a la Liga Profesional Saudí (SPL) con un contrato de cinco años que tendría un salario fijo de casi 200 millones de euros por temporada más bonificaciones.

También se incluiría en el paquete un contrato adicional de 10 años para servir como embajador de la Copa del Mundo de 2034 de la nación, aunque los detalles del acuerdo, incluidos los términos y los costos, aún no se han finalizado.

Aunque todavía no se ha hecho una oferta formal, Vinicius no ha descartado la posibilidad y ha permitido que el PIF se ponga en contacto con el Real Madrid.

Vinicius y sus delegados se sienten “felices y motivados” en la capital española, pero también creen que una oferta tan generosa como ésta debe ser considerada a fondo.

Otra persona cercana al jugador afirmó que el Real Madrid no ha expresado ningún deseo de negociar un traspaso, señalando que el jugador tiene una cláusula de rescisión de mil millones de euros.

Obsesionado por ser tomado en serio como una potencia futbolística, el Reino de Arabia Saudita anunció un Proyecto de Inversión y Privatización de Clubes Deportivos, con el PIF tomando posesión del 75% del capital de los cuatro principales clubes del país: Al Ahli, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal y Al Nassr.

El mayor traspaso saudí provino del club más exitoso del país, Al Hilal, que gastó 90 millones de euros para comprar al delantero Neymar del Paris St Germain.

Con Karim Benzema en Al Ittihad y Cristiano Ronaldo en Al Nassr, el PIF intentó persuadir al capitán francés Kylian Mbappé para que fuera el gran nombre que aún le falta al Al Ahli el año pasado.

El delantero, sin embargo, rechazó la lucrativa oferta saudí y se unió al Real Madrid en junio.

La propuesta por Vinicius se entiende similar a la de Mbappé. El brasileño se uniría al Al Ahli, uniéndose a los ex jugadores de la Premier League Riyad Mahrez y Roberto Firmino.

Vinicius, que tiene contrato hasta 2027 tras firmar una extensión en 2022, es uno de los candidatos a ganar el Balón de Oro al mejor jugador del mundo después de ayudar al Real Madrid a conseguir un doblete de Liga de Campeones y LaLiga la temporada pasada.
